Brian Curley

Brian Curley, AIA, LEED AP, President, is a registered architect with more than 30 years of experience designing corporate offices, multi-family housing, and historic building renovations. Brian is a natural collaborator who is inspired by the teams he works with every day.

CHA Architecture's most active office and retail architect, Brian has also designed both single-family and congregate housing in the past few years. Many of his projects use his background in historic preservation to adapt older buildings for new life in retail, banking, offices, housing, or mixed-use.

I am a firm believer in being fully engaged in whatever we do. I always try to encourage people to not simply sit on the sidelines but to "mix it up." While this life can be messy at times, it can be made much richer if we actively participate to the best of our ability.

Brian enjoys life in his corner of Maine with his wife, Ruth Whitney Curley. Brian and Ruth have two grown children, Will and Kate, and a son-in-law, Dennis. They will also soon be grandparents to their first grandchild in late summer 2019.

Brian is a traveler, gardener, reader, cook, and lover of a good research project. He has a personal interest in genealogy and seeing where and what his family's ancestors were up to. He's half Polish and half Irish, and he comes from a long line of hardworking risk takers!
