50 Sewall Street, Corporate Offices

This building is, to our knowledge, the first LEED-certified commercial office building in Maine. Designed and built as a medical office building to rent at market rates, it represents a new generation of LEED construction at costs competitive with conventional construction.

Among its LEED credits are a heat-recovery system, reduced light pollution, water-efficient fixtures, a high-albedo roof, recycling of construction materials, use of certified lumber and materials with recycled content, bike storage and showers, and a tenant education program. CHA Architecture also designed the interior tenant fitup for Advanced Physical Therapy on the first floor.
