CHA Helps Honor Local Students at Maine ACE Awards
The Board of Directors for ACE Mentor Maine recognized several local students from the Brunswick, Portland and South Portland ACE programs at an event in February. Students presented their cumulative final projects that responded to design prompts on climate change. Five students were presented with scholarships from the ACE Mentor program.
ACE is a free afterschool program created by the integrated construction industry to attract students into pursuing industry-related careers. For students, it’s a unique chance to discover and develop new skills, solidify future goals and get on track to exciting, rewarding careers.
Matt Pitzer, Practice Leader at CHA Architecture, who is also the ACE of Maine chairman, presented the evening’s awards and thanked supporters. Special thanks to CHA's Adam McKinnon for organizing the event. CHA was also represented by Ben Winschel, who sits on the ACE board, and Ashley Richards and Kirsten Sudbury, who helped plan and organize the recognition event.
