CHA Architecture's Bob Curtis Participates in Code Action Hearings
Bob Curtis, a senior architect at CHA Architecture, recently traveled to Albuquerque, NM, to participate in five days of International Code Council (ICC) Committee Action Hearings. Bob served on a 16-member committee that heard, questioned and voted on more than 300 proposed revisions to the 2018 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) made by organizations, industries and individuals from around the country.
Approved revisions will become part of the 2021 IECC and will influence energy efficient design strategies and set minimum performance standards for buildings and sites as we move into the third decade of the new century.
Other committees reviewed proposed revisions to the International Building Code (IBC), International Existing Building Code (IEBC) International Residential Code (IRC), International Green Construction Code (IgCC).
