CHA Architecture Promotes Staff in Portland
Matthew Pitzer, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP BD+C, has been promoted to Practice Leader. Matt joined CHA Architecture (formerly PDT) in 2016 after spending almost fifteen years in Boston as a designer specializing in historic preservation. He is a registered architect, earning his Master of Architecture from Northeastern University, and most recently completed the design of the new Kate Furbish Elementary School, which will be built at the site of the former Jordan Acres School in Brunswick, Maine.
Kathy Kahill, LEED AP BD+C, has been promoted to Studio Leader. Kathy is a graduate of Cornell University and has led many of CHA Architecture’s largest and most successful projects since joining the firm in 2010 after spending nine years designing in San Francisco. Most recently, she completed the design of Mt. Ararat High School, a 750-student replacement high school currently being constructed in Topsham, Maine.
Paul Nelson has been promoted to Constructability Leader. Paul joined CHA Architecture in 2008 as an architectural designer. He is a registered architect and has designed some of CHA Architecture’s most technically challenging projects including schools, health care facilities, multi-family housing, and courthouse projects. He received his Master of Architecture from the University of Colorado at Denver and holds a B.A from the State University of New York at Cortland.
