John Michalowski

John Michalowski, Clerk of the Works, has more than 30 years of experience as a principal architect throughout the United States and northern Mexico. Throughout his career, he has designed numerous school buildings, both new and remodeled, as well as healthcare, retail, financial, hospitality, office, and religious buildings. He has also overseen the construction of numerous projects for himself and others.

Along with practicing architecture, John has been a museum director and high school teacher. In his spare time, he enjoys collecting and studying coins, photography, traveling, harness racing, and all sorts of games. He was even the past Maine State Checker Champion and a former professional dart player. John has also coached soccer for 30 years at all levels, including 6 years as the coach of the Katahdin High School boys soccer team.
