Ariana Melzer

Ariana Melzer, CDT, Interior Designer, Social Media Coordinator, came to CHA Architecture with terrific graphic skills and a background in college and university interiors. Skilled in collaborative design for imaginative, practical, and durable interiors, Ariana has coordinated every phase of large interior projects, from the creation of concept presentations to construction administration and furniture selection and installation. Her CDT certification is a bonus for making sure construction documents are clear and construction goes smoothly.

There's no need to be afraid of color—used judiciously, it can be transformative.

Working in design is actually a career change for Ariana. She started out in the publishing industry and worked as a developmental reading and language arts textbook editor before deciding that she needed to pursue something that allowed for more color.

Ariana and her husband are both originally from Wisconsin, but they have fallen hard for Maine, so much so that they convinced her sister and brother-in-law to relocate from California, her mom and step-dad to relocate from Wisconsin, and a few sets of friends from Massachusetts and New York to join them as well.

Ariana loves being on the water, whether in a sailboat or a kayak, in the warmer months and on the snow, whether with skis or snowshoes, in the colder months. Travel, both near and far, has always been important to Ariana because it reminds her how all of humanity is connected. Be it on the waters of Penobscot Bay or Sebago Lake or on the streets of Hong Kong and Japan, Ariana can be found exploring somewhere new.
